Ying graduated from RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia with a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Communication  majoring in TV Production.
After a work attachment at Television Corporation of Singapore (TCS, now known at Mediacorp), she proceeded to join the production industry starting with freelance jobs on photo   and video/film shoots in various roles including locations, wardrobe, props, casting and assistant producing.Her projects and shoots included clients: KFC, Asia Pacific Breweries, UOB Bank, M1, Caltex, Fuji Xerox, ABN Amro.

Her experience then lead her to a job at D’Arcy, an advertising agency of the BCom3 group where she was Producer and Art Buyer on Print Ads and TVCs for clients: Mars (M&Ms), P&G (Whisper), Roche, Australian Tourist Commission, NEC and City Developments Limited (CDL Properties).

With the closing of D’Arcy, her career returned to its production roots at The Right Angle, a production house with broadcast and corporate video services.

Although her first project was a TV series about the Singapore Arts Festival, she naturally moved on to producing corporate videos for clients: Singapore Airlines, SingTel, Singapore Tourism Board (STB), Media Development Authority (MDA), British High Commission, SingHealth, Novartis, Singapore Technologies, Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA), Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS) and Community Development Council (CDC).

After 2 years of making ads and tutorials for action camera apps at muvee Singapore, Ying recently shot, edited and delivered stories for the BBC and Forbes magazine. From there, there were recent scripting, directing and editing projects with UBS, JLL, Accenture and NZ Trade+Enterprise.

With additional 4K basic video shooting and interviews to add to her Final Cut Pro editing skills, she is also mixing her interest in social media as a multi-channel tool to craft forward-thinking and creative productions.
